FAQ

How can I feed Royal Canin food to my pet?

First, when introducing new food to your pet’s diet, make a gradual transition. We recommend you do a transition phase of seven days to avoid dietary issues. Mix a portion of the new food with your pet's current food, gradually increasing the ratio every three days until your pet is fully adapted.

The use of this food may affect your cat’s sensitivity to insulin. As such, when starting this diet, it’s advised to monitor blood glucose and insulin response to adapt insulin dosage.

Make sure your pet always has fresh water available. For better results, you can combine the dry food with the Royal Canin Diabetic wet cat food, which you can feed separately or in the same bowl.

Nevertheless, before use and for further guidance, speak to your vet and follow their advice.

Royal Canin Diabetic Cat is recommended as first-line nutritional management for all newly-diagnosed cases of Diabetes Mellitus until achieving control of clinical signs and hyperglycemia.
