FAQ

How can I feed Royal Canin food to my pet?

Feed Royal Canin Urinary S/O Ageing 7+ Loaf for five to 12 weeks to dissolve struvite stones. Feed this diet up to 6 months to reduce struvite stone recurrence. Your veterinarian should reevaluate your dog to assess the relevance of a lifelong diet recommendation and should check renal function before recommending a new diet.

Make sure your pet always has fresh water available. For better results, you can combine the wet food with the Royal Canin Urinary S/O Ageing 7+ dry dog food, which you can feed separately or in the same bowl.

Nevertheless, before use and for further guidance, speak to your vet and follow their advice.

Can I give Royal Canin Veterinary Urinary S/O Ageing 7+ Loaf to dogs of any age, size, and condition?

This food is recommended for aging dogs (>7 years old) in cases of:

  • Struvite uroliths: dissolution and management of recurrence
  • Calcium oxalate uroliths: management of recurrence
  • Bacterial cystitis: management of secondary struvite crystalluria (in association with adequate antibiotic therapy)

However, it’s not recommended for hyperkaliemia and the concurrent use of urine-acidifying medication. In addition, it’s also unsuitable for growing puppies and pregnant/lactating dogs.
